North Beach Bear Lake State Park

Located near St. Charles, Idaho, Bear Lake North Beach just might be the best beach at Bear Lake. It's definitely one of the most popular, so make sure you get there early before they stop letting people in. Spend your time with friends and family swimming, kayaking, or water skiing. The two-mile-long beach offers a gentle slope for swimmers of all ages. If you're looking for an escape from the heat, North Beach is definitely a great choice.

Directions To North Beach:

From Evanston, WY:

- Head north on the WY-89 North

- Entering Utah, continue onto UT-16 North

- After about 29 miles, turn left onto UT-30 W towards Laketown

- When in Laketown turn right onto North Main St 

- North Main St. turns slightly right and becomes North Cisco Rd

- Continue onto North Cisco Rd

- Entering into Idaho, it will become Eastshore Rd

- Turn left on North Beach Rd., your destination will be on the left

From Logan, UT:

- Follow US-89 North into Garden City

- When in Garden City, turn left onto US-89 North

- Continue onto US-89 into Idaho

- When you reach St. Charles, turn right onto North Beach Rd for about 5 miles

- North Beach State Park will be on the right

North Beach Day Pass: 

Starting in 2022 Bear Lake State Park began using a day-use registrations system in Idaho. Because the North beach tends to get busy fast, beach goers are often turned away. The day use passes will help give guaranteed entry onto North Beach.

Parking at North Beach State Park: 

Several parking lots stretch along the 2-miles of beach. Be aware that North Beach usually reaches capacity on Fridays around 11am. Saturday's are usually very busy and will fill up by 10am. Usually, they will reopen later in the day when people start to leave.

 

North Beach Amenities:

- 2 boat ramps

- 5 vault toilets

- 3 picnic shelters

- 78 picnic tables scattered along the beach

Dogs are not allowed at North Beach.

Cisco Beach

Located on the east shore of Bear Lake and a mere 10 miles north of Laketown. If you're looking to swim, do some fishing, or even scuba dive Cisco Beach is the beach for you. Cisco Beach is named after the Bonneville Cisco Fish, which are only found here in Bear Lake. Cisco Beach offers great scuba diving opportunities with depths as far as 208 feet, with plenty of rocks and sea life for you to explore. The beach might not be the best as far as sand is concerned, but it's usually not very busy so you can just sit back and enjoy your time at Bear Lake.

Directions to Cisco Beach:

From Pocatello, ID:

- Follow 1-15 S/US-30 to Inkom/Salt Lake

- Take exit 47 for US-30 East towards I-15BL/McCammon/Montpelier

- Turn left onto US-30 E

- Turn right onto Dingle Rd

- Continue onto Merkley Lak Rd

- Continue onto Eastshore Rd into Utah

- Keep going onto North Cisco Rd/Shore Line Rd

- Cisco Beach will be on your right

From Logan, UT:

- Follow US-89 North into Garden City

- When in Garden City, turn right onto US-89 North

- Just after you pass Rendezvous Beach, turn left onto West 800 North

- In just under 1 mile turn left on North Main St, which will turn into North Cisco Rd

- Continue onto North Cisco Rd until you reach Cisco Beach on the left

Parking at Cisco Beach: 

Parking is available near the Rainbow Cove boat ramp, above and along the beach.

Yes, dogs are allowed at Cisco Beach. So your dogs and enjoy your time at Bear Lake. 

Bear Lake State Park Rendezvous Beach

We've got the perfect beach for you! Rendezvous has a day-use beach area with a reservable pavilion, great sandy beaches, and a restaurant on the sand. It might not be as big as North Beach, but it's a great place to spend the day and watch the sunset over the mountains. Make your reservation today! Rendezvous Beach is the perfect place for your next family getaway or a fun day with friends! We've got great sandy beaches, plenty of shade, and a restaurant near the shore. You can reserve our pavilion for a special event, it's perfect for cookouts or parties!

Directions to Rendezvous Beach:

From Evanston, WY:

- Take WY SR 89 north

- At the UT/WY border, the road will change to UT SR 16

- Continue on UT SR 16 to Sage Creek Junction

- At Sage Creek Junction, turn left onto UT SR 30

- Turn left on UT SR 30 heading west and travel about 12 miles

- Rendezvous Beach is about 2 miles northwest of the UT SR 30 and Cisco Road junction in Laketown, Utah

From Logan, UT:

- Follow US 89 through Logan Canyon to Garden City

- Turn right at the US 89 and UT SR 30 junction

- Travel south approx. 9 miles on UT SR 30

Parking at Rendezvous Beach: 

Large parking lot available after you enter through the pay station. If the water is low, you can drive your vehicle onto the beach and park along the shore.

Bear Lake State Park Marina Utah

Our marina is the perfect place to get away from it all and get back in touch with nature. Bear Lake Marina is a beautiful place to camp and boat just minutes from the Utah-Idaho border. - Follow I-15 S/US-30 E/US-91 S via the ramp to Inkom/Salt Lake

- Take exit 47 for US-30 E toward I-15BL/McCammon/Soda Springs/Montpelier

- Turn right onto US-89 S/Washington St

- Keep left to continue toward US-89 S

- Slight left onto US-89 S

- Destination will be on your left in about 23 miles

From Logan, UT:

- Follow US-89 North into Garden City

- When in Garden City, turn left onto US-89 North

- In just under .5 miles your destination will be on the right

Parking at Bear Lake Marina: 

After entering the marina there are two separate parking lots located on the North and South ends of the marina for vehicles. There are is truck/trailer parking as well, along with overflow parking across the street.
